Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald waters of lake Louise, the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is located in Alberta's Banff National Park, and is recognized globally for progressive environmental stewardship and responsible tourism.

Known as the luxury basecamp of the Canadian Rockies, Secret Season in Lake Louise is frozen glacier lakes, pristine wilderness, breathing the crisp mountain air and discovering spring as local wildlife begin to stir. In late March and early April, snow blankets the ground and is the foundation for endless winter sports. Later in April and May, lower level trails open up as snow clears the valley bottoms. Not interested in the outdoors, contemplate the beauty of the perfect vista during morning yoga, from your room or during a romantic dinner in the Lakeside Lounge.

Secret Season in Lake Louise is being here before the crowds.

SECRET SEASON IN LAKE LOUISE

Secret #1

Lake Louise is Canada's highest community. At 1,750 m (5,740 ft) above sea level, it has a subarctic climate, with annual snowfall of  3.3+ meters. That means plenty of snow and a frozen lake in April. Good thing this destination is as stunning in Winter as it is in Summer!
